Getting a Library Card

You may obtain a free Delaware Library card if you are 18 or over and:
-own property in your name OR reside in Delaware
-present a picture ID with proof of residency

Non-residents may obtain a one-year temporary card for a fee by filling out an application and presenting a picture ID.

Minors (those under 18) require a parent or legal guardian to co-sign the Library card application, assuming responsibility for damage, return, or replacement of all materials borrowed by the minor.

Visitors, 18 years and older, may obtain a monthly card for a fee by filling out an application and presenting a picture ID.

A Delaware library card entitles the user to borrow library materials and to use library computers.
